How to Choose the Best AI Photo Enhancer for Airbnb in 15 Minutes Without Risking a Misleading Listing
Best AI photo enhancer for Airbnb? We compared 8 tools on published prices, free trials, privacy and edit limits. Prices checked Oct 20, 2026.

Prices checked Oct 20, 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on each vendor's page before you buy.
Many "best AI photo enhancer" lists are written by a vendor on the list, and its own tool comes first. This one compares eight tools hosts keep running into (ProntoPic, Imagen, StayShot, ListPik, The BnB Factory, Boostsbnb, FrameLifter and Houfy) only on what each company publishes: price, free trial, file support, what the AI will and won't change, and what happens to your photos.
Quick answer: best picks by use case
There is no single best AI photo enhancer for Airbnb. The right one depends on how many photos you edit, how often you edit, and how much you want the AI to change. Based on published pricing and policies as of Oct 19, 2026:
- You edit one listing now and then and don't want a subscription: ListPik (30 credits for $30, credits never expire) or ProntoPic ($1.50 a photo, credits never expire).
- You shoot on an iPhone and want a flat monthly price: StayShot (accepts HEIC, €19 a month for 30 photos).
- You want to see a full-quality result before you create an account: FrameLifter (one free watermarked preview, no account or card).
- You edit large volumes and want the lowest published per-photo rate: Imagen's real estate web app (250 free edits, then pay-as-you-go). It is built for real estate photography teams, not specifically for hosts.
- You'd rather send your listing and get the photos back: The BnB Factory ($1.65 a photo, or $1.25 a photo for 25+).
Whichever you choose, one rule decides it: an edit is fine only if guests walk into the room the photo shows. That's Airbnb's rule too (see below).
How we compared these tools (no hands-on testing)
To be plain about it: this is a comparison of published features, pricing and policies, not a hands-on test. We did not upload photos to any of these tools, and we make no claims about output quality. When a vendor says its AI leaves the room unchanged, we report that as the vendor's claim.
On Oct 19, 2026 we read each vendor's own pricing page, product page, FAQ and, where one exists, privacy policy. Every price comes from those pages. Anything a vendor doesn't publish is marked "not published", not filled in with third-party estimates.
Every tool was checked against the same ten criteria, weighted equally: room fidelity (what the vendor says the AI adds, removes or replaces), light, color and verticals corrections, published speed, price for a 25-photo listing, free trial (photos and card), batch upload, phone and HEIC support, privacy and AI-training policy, disclosure help for staged or altered images, and whether it's built for short-term rentals or adapted from real estate.
We gave no scores, star ratings or rankings. The order below is not a ranking.

*Imagen's real estate pricing widget didn't show a figure in the page text we could load. The $0.32 standard rate and the $0.22 first-month rate (30% off) come from Imagen's own Oct 12, 2026 article on Airbnb photo editing.
The tools, one by one
ProntoPic
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: $1.50 per photo, enhancement or virtual staging. Credits are bought in the app, minimum 10. No subscription, and credits never expire. Every new account gets 2 free credits with no card needed. Source: prontopic.com/pricing.
ProntoPic's Airbnb page says it edits "the light, colour, sharpness and angles" of a listing photo "without changing the room" (prontopic.com/airbnb-photo-editor). The pricing FAQ says most photos finish in 6 to 12 seconds. The homepage FAQ says enhancement "never adds furniture, swaps backgrounds, or changes a room's layout", and staged images carry a "Virtually Staged" disclosure. One caveat: the same homepage advertises "bluer skies" on exteriors, so check exterior shots against the real view.
- Best for: hosts who want simple pay-per-photo pricing with no subscription and labeled staging.
- Limits: the upload step lists JPG and PNG only, so iPhone users may need to export HEIC files first. We found no privacy policy at the URLs we checked. The homepage is written mainly for listing agents.
Imagen
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: Imagen sells two different products. The real estate web app is pay-as-you-go per edited photo, billed at the end of each month, with 30% off the first month and 250 free edits for new accounts. Teams editing 25,000+ photos a year get custom pricing (imagen-ai.com/real-estate). The per-photo figure didn't appear in the page text we loaded. Imagen's own Oct 12, 2026 article gives $0.32 per photo standard and $0.22 in the discounted first month. The separate desktop app starts at $0.50 per photo for AI color correction with a $7 monthly minimum, or US$179 a month on the annual Limitless plan (imagen-ai.com/pricing).
The web app accepts HEIC/HEIF, JPEG, RAW, AVIF and DNG, runs batches in the browser, and says a first batch is typically ready in under 10 minutes. Features include HDR merge, window pull, perspective correction, sky replacement, and an AI Assistant for virtual staging, twilight, green grass and object removal, plus optional AI disclosure watermarks. Imagen says photos aren't used to train its AI without your explicit consent, and originals are deleted within 7 days.
- Best for: hosts or managers with many photos who are comfortable with a real estate photographer's workflow.
- Limits: it's built for real estate teams, not hosts. Its own "best of" list for Airbnb hosts ranks Imagen first, so read it as marketing. Several tools in the AI Assistant can change what a room or view shows. Use them carefully, or not at all, on an Airbnb listing.
StayShot
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: Free tier with 3 photo enhancements and no card required. Starter is €19 a month for 30 photos. Pro is €49 a month for 100 photos and adds bulk upload. Prices are in euros. Source: stayshot.net.
StayShot is the most STR-focused tool here. It says it is trained on short-term rentals and that results take about 30 seconds. It accepts JPG, PNG and HEIC, so iPhone photos upload without converting. Its privacy answer is the clearest in this group: it says it will "never share, sell, or use your photos for marketing or AI training."
The fidelity question needs a close read. StayShot says it keeps "same walls, same floor, same fixtures, same furniture", but its FAQ also says it "may add small decorative touches like a plant or candle", and the homepage mentions "subtle staging touches". A candle is a small thing. Still, review every output and remove anything that isn't actually in the room.
- Best for: hosts who shoot on iPhone and refresh photos every month.
- Limits: monthly quotas reset, and re-running a photo uses another credit. Bulk upload is only on Pro. A staging disclosure label isn't published.
ListPik
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: One-time packs: 10 credits $12, 30 credits $30, 75 credits $68, 150 credits $120. Optional monthly plans: 30 credits $27, 75 credits $58, 150 credits $99. Credits never expire, even on monthly plans. New accounts get three free credits. Source: listpik.com/pricing.
ListPik calls itself "Presentation correction, not renovation". It corrects lighting, white balance, clarity and mild perspective, and keeps the original next to each result for review (listpik.com). Each credited photo gets one free re-run, and failed jobs return the credit. Virtual staging is a separate job, labeled by default. It also lists an early Airbnb URL import and batch ZIP downloads. ListPik's privacy policy says it uses OpenAI for image processing (listpik.com/privacy), but it doesn't say whether your photos are used for AI training.
- Best for: occasional editors who want non-expiring credits and labeled staging by default.
- Limits: inputs are JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB, with no HEIC listed.
The BnB Factory
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: The homepage lists "$1.65/photo (or $1.25/photo for 25+ photos)" next to its "Send Us Your Airbnb Listing" service. Its /pricing page returned a 404. No free trial is published. Source: thebnbfactory.com.
The BnB Factory says its AI is "trained specifically for short-term rentals". It lists fixes for orientation, angle, composition, color, clutter, exposure, wrinkles, upscaling and missing staging. You can upload from your phone or share a folder. This is the tool to read most carefully against Airbnb's rules. Its homepage says it fixes issues by "adding and removing features that impact guests." Taking a stray cable out of a photo is one thing. Adding a feature the guest won't find is the kind of edit Airbnb's policy prohibits.
- Best for: hosts who want a done-for-you, whole-listing service at a flat per-photo rate.
- Limits: no published trial, turnaround time or file formats. The privacy link returned a 404. Its willingness to add features means you need to review every result.
Boostsbnb (BoostBnB)
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: Pro Pass is $23.25 a month billed yearly ($279 a year) or $40 month to month. It includes 50 credits a month, and subscription credits don't roll over. Enterprise pricing is custom. Free watermarked credits let you preview results. There's a 14-day money-back guarantee. Source: boostsbnb.com/pricing.
Despite the name, Boostsbnb's pricing page speaks to real estate agents ("Why agents switch to BoostBnB"), with output for MLS, Zillow and Airbnb. Every credit includes sky replacement, brightness and color correction, HDR tone mapping, lawn greening, decluttering and twilight conversion. Most photos process in under 30 seconds, and batch uploads go up to 50 MB.
- Best for: hosts with steady monthly volume (around 50 photos) who don't mind a subscription.
- Limits: credits expire each month. The default feature set includes sky replacement and twilight conversion, which can misrepresent a view. File formats and a privacy policy weren't published at the URLs we checked.
FrameLifter
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: One photo is $1.99. A 2–5 photo bundle is $9.99, then $1.99 for each photo after five. Virtual staging starts at $4.99 per room. You get one free full-quality watermarked preview with no account or card. Refunds are available within 14 days. Sources: framelifter.com/pricing, framelifter.com/airbnb-photo-editing.
Each purchase includes one follow-up edit per four photos (for sky replacement, cleanup or day-to-dusk). Five more edits cost $7.99. FrameLifter's Airbnb page is unusually direct about honesty. It tells hosts: "Do not publish a staged bedroom as though the digitally added bed will be supplied to guests," and it says editing won't guarantee more bookings. Its privacy policy says originals are deleted within 24 hours of processing. It also lists "Improve our AI algorithms and service quality" as one use of your information (framelifter.com/privacy).
- Best for: fixing one cover photo, or seeing a full-quality result before you pay anything.
- Limits: the most expensive option here for a full 25-photo listing. It accepts JPG, PNG, HEIC and RAW (framelifter.com/airbnb-photo-editing). Speed isn't published.
Houfy
Prices checked Oct 20, 2026: The credit price isn't published. The page says only: "You can try photo improvements on Houfy, with additional credits available if you want to enhance more images." Source: houfy.com/photo-improvement.
Houfy's photo improvement is built into the Houfy listing manager rather than offered as a standalone editor. Houfy says its auto-enhance "only adjusts exposure, color, and sharpness — no content changes." Twilight and declutter are optional and previewed side by side.
- Best for: hosts who already list on Houfy.
- Limits: the page doesn't say whether improved photos can be exported for Airbnb. No published price.
Enhancement vs virtual staging: what Airbnb allows
Airbnb's Ground Rules for Hosts address AI edits directly. Under listing accuracy, Airbnb says photos "should accurately represent the space provided." It adds: "We will ask hosts to remove content if AI or other digital technology has been used to edit flaws, hide damage, add amenities or attributes that are not part of a listing, or otherwise misrepresent the listing" (Airbnb Help, article 2895). Possible enforcement includes warnings, required removal of the content and, for repeated or severe violations, suspension.
In practice, edits fall into three groups:
- Usually safe (photographic corrections): exposure, white balance, straightening verticals, sharpening, recovering window detail. The room is unchanged. Only the camera's limits are corrected.
- Use judgment (content edits): removing personal clutter, cords or a stray towel is generally fine when the item isn't part of the stay. Removing a stain, a crack or a radiator is not. That's "hiding damage" or a fixture.
- High risk on Airbnb: sky replacement that changes the view, twilight conversions, lawn greening, added plants or decor, and virtual staging of furniture the guest won't get. Several tools above offer these. Some, like ProntoPic and ListPik, label staged images. Labels help, but they don't make a fake amenity accurate.
For a closer look at the tradeoff, see how to choose between fancy photos and honest photos and how to make your photos match your real place. Airbnb itself is also adding AI features that change how listings appear. If your title or cover photo suddenly looks different, read how to spot and fix Airbnb's AI edits to your listing.
How to choose: a 15-minute checklist
Use this before you pay for any AI photo enhancer:
- Count your photos. Multiply your photo count by the per-photo price and compare with a monthly plan. For 25 photos, the options above run from free (Imagen's trial) to $49.79 (FrameLifter).
- Decide how often you'll edit. Once a year favors credits that never expire (ProntoPic, ListPik). Every month favors a plan (StayShot, Boostsbnb).
- Check your file type. If you shoot on an iPhone, confirm HEIC is accepted. StayShot, Imagen and FrameLifter list it. ProntoPic lists JPG and PNG, and ListPik lists JPG, PNG and WebP.
- Read the "what we change" line. Look for sky replacement, added decor, staging or "adds features". Turn those off, or skip the tool, for an Airbnb listing.
- Look for a staging label. If you ever stage an empty room, choose a tool that labels the image by default.
- Read the privacy answer. Does the vendor say your photos won't train its AI? StayShot and Imagen say so plainly. Several others publish nothing.
- Use the free trial on your hardest photo, usually a dark bathroom or a bright window, and compare the result with the real room.
- Check it as a thumbnail. Your cover photo is judged at a small size. Our guide to picking the first five photos guests see covers order and cropping.
- Keep your originals. Several tools delete files after a set time (FrameLifter after 24 hours for originals, Imagen after 7 days).
- Do a final walk-through check. Before publishing, look at each photo and ask: will a guest find exactly this when they open the door?
When to hire a photographer instead
An AI photo enhancer corrects a photo you've already taken. It can't move the camera. ListPik says this plainly about its own tool: it "cannot choose a better camera position, style a room, or capture detail that was never recorded." Consider a photographer when:
- The composition is the problem. The bed fills the frame, the best room looks small, or key spaces are missing. Enhancement won't fix framing. Start with fixing your first five photos.
- You're launching a high-value listing. A large home or luxury property competes on the full set of photos, and a professional controls light, angles and styling on site.
- Your photos are too dark to recover. Very underexposed phone shots lose detail no editor can bring back. Our guide on brightening dark Airbnb photos covers what to fix while shooting.
- You need consistent seasonal or twilight exteriors. Shooting the real dusk view is honest. A generated sky isn't.

FAQ
What is the best AI photo enhancer for Airbnb?
It depends on volume and file type. Based on published pricing as of Oct 19, 2026: ListPik and ProntoPic suit occasional editing with credits that never expire. StayShot suits iPhone users on a monthly plan. Imagen's real estate web app has the lowest published per-photo rate for high volume. We compared published features and prices only. We did not test output quality.
Is AI photo editing allowed on Airbnb?
Yes, as long as the photo still accurately represents the space. Airbnb's Ground Rules for Hosts (Help article 2895) say Airbnb will ask hosts to remove content when AI is used to "edit flaws, hide damage, add amenities or attributes that are not part of a listing, or otherwise misrepresent the listing." Light, color and straightening corrections are the safest edits.
Which AI photo enhancers have a free trial?
As of Oct 19, 2026: ProntoPic (2 credits, no card), StayShot (3 photos, no card), ListPik (3 credits), Imagen's real estate web app (250 edits), FrameLifter (one watermarked preview, no account or card), and Boostsbnb (free watermarked credits, number not published). The BnB Factory doesn't publish a trial.
How much does it cost to enhance a full Airbnb listing with AI?
For 25 photos at published prices on Oct 19, 2026: $30 with ListPik, $31.25 with The BnB Factory, $37.50 with ProntoPic, €19 for a month of StayShot Starter, $40 for a month of Boostsbnb, and $49.79 with FrameLifter. Imagen's 250-edit trial covers 25 photos, and its own article lists $0.32 a photo after that.
Do these tools use my photos to train their AI?
StayShot says it never uses your photos for AI training. Imagen says it won't without your explicit consent. FrameLifter's privacy policy lists improving its AI algorithms as one use of your information. Houfy's privacy policy says OpenAI powers its photo improvement and does not use that content to train OpenAI's models. ListPik says it uses OpenAI for processing but doesn't publish a training statement. ProntoPic, The BnB Factory and Boostsbnb didn't publish a training policy at the URLs we checked.
